Lenox Park Residents,
The purpose of this eNews is to keep our community informed as to important happenings and guidelines, and to keep an open line of communication with residents. Your questions, suggestions, and ideas are important! For questions about your property, HOA guidelines, violations, architectural / landscaping changes (ARC request forms), or other neighborhood concerns, contact AnnMarie (PMI) at firstname.lastname@example.org. Be sure to access www.lenoxpark.org for many helpful resources (i.e. Homeowner Directory, HOA Covenants, ARC Request forms, etc.)
Please take a moment to read the following information and announcements.
LENOX PARK VISION & VALUES
Vision: To build a greater sense of community in Lenox Park
- Cultivation: Taking care of our homes, property, and homeowner responsibilities (i.e. covenants, dues, etc.).
- Compassion: Seeking to respect, serve, and look out for the needs and interests of your neighbors.
- Consideration: Assume the best about your HOA Board volunteers and your neighbors.
- Communication: Praising publicly. Criticizing and correcting privately (in a spirit of respect, kindness and peace).
- Connection: Seeking to build relationships with neighbors (the safest neighborhoods are those in which neighbors know one another)
SEPTEMBER “YARD OF THE MONTH”
Congratulations to our September “Yard of the Month” winner, Catherine Strickland 5580 Lenox Park Place)!!! Congratulations also to our Honorable Mention yards, Ed & Carol White (385 Ellesmere Way) and Perry & Laura Viles (313 Tattersall Court). NOTE: October Yard of the Month will include Fall / Halloween decorations. Judging will take place on Oct. 25-26.
NEW “NO DUMPING” SIGNS
You may have noticed a few new “No Dumping” signs installed on common area spaces around the community. There is a significant cost (as much as $2,000) to the community when the HOA has to pay for yard waste, tree limbs, and miscellaneous trash items to be removed from these spaces. So, we ask that homeowners please refrain from dumping yard waste, tree limbs, trash, etc. on common property. NOTE: Advanced Disposal Services does offer yard waste and bulk pick up services. For more information, go to www.advanceddisposal.com or call 770-381-6420.
If you’re thinking of making any changes to the exterior appearance of your home (i.e. windows, mailbox, roof, painting, major landscaping updates, garage door replacement, front door replacement, etc.), be sure to submit an ARC Request Form to email@example.com. NOTE: ARC Request Forms are available at www.LenoxPark.org. Go to Documents > Owners – Forms > ARC Form V2020.
If and when you receive a violation notice letter, know that we all pretty much receive letters at one time or another. You’re not alone. Know also that we can make mistakes and sometimes we just get it wrong. So, if you receive a violation notice and you think it may be in error, just let us know. PMI and your HOA Board are with you, we’re for you, and we will be happy to correct any error or answer any questions you may have about a violation. The primary purpose of violation notices is to insure the excellent overall appearance of our community, and to maintain the high property resale value on our homes. Each month, approximately 60-75 violation notices go out for: trash can visible, weeds in lawn, pine straw/mulch replenishing, mailbox post repainting, pressure washing, edging/blowing/overgrown hedges, pressure washing, landscape materials visible, clean/stain fencing, etc. Usually, violations are easy fixes. When they’re not easy fixes or if you ever have any questions, you can send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thank you for your very positive response to this reminder that we posted a few weeks ago! It is important that we do our best to keep vehicles from being parked on our streets and cul-de-sacs. There are occasions in which a vehicle needs to be parked in the street temporarily (i.e. 0-3 hours), but anything much longer than that is discouraged and can become a violation. Street parking is a traffic and safety issue (especially between 4pm – 7pm), and can also be a nuisance to neighboring residents. Thanks for helping to keep our neighborhood safe!
DOGS & LEASHES
This is just a friendly reminder that, per Gwinnett County ordinances and HOA Covenants, all dogs (big or small) are to be kept on leashes when they’re out in the neighborhood.
HAVE YOU READ THE LENOX PARK COVENANTS LATELY?
If you haven’t read the HOA Covenants lately (or maybe not at all), we’d highly recommend you do that. Yes, it may be boring, but it’s an important document because it provides information as relates to guidelines and requirements of which homeowners are expected to abide. We don’t want you to make an upgrade to your home (i.e. roofing, windows, garage door, etc.), put up a fence, or unknowingly park an unauthorized vehicle (i.e. boat, RV, work vehicle, etc.) in your driveway that might result in a violation notice. It helps to know the rules. To access all Lenox Park HOA Governing Documents, go to www.lenoxpark.org (click on Documents).
HOA COMMUNICATIONS & FACEBOOK
The www.facebook.com/groups/lenoxpark is a great way for neighbors to connect, communicate with one another, share referrals, neighborhood news, etc. We’d encourage you to use it. The HOA Board cannot answer HOA related questions via Facebook, but we do want to be accessible to homeowners, so for HOA related questions, contact Drue Warner (HOA President) directly at email@example.com or 404-906-9117. For ARC requests and/or financial questions about your account, contact AnnMarie Pettit (our PMI representative) at firstname.lastname@example.org.
